MMAP - ManyMusics Action Programme

Sustaining and Enhancing Musical Diversity

The International Music Council (IMC) has defined Musical Diversity its main focus. Through the ManyMusics Action Programme (MMAP), IMC wishes to contribute to sustaining and enhancing musical diversity. Through dissemination of advocacy materials and best practices, exchange of experience, and targeted initiatives, the programme will empower local communities and influence local, national, regional and international decision-makers to work actively for musical diversity.

The IMC members are important contributors to the progress of the action programme, and so are musical entities outside the IMC. The MMAP will be discussed thoroughly at the IMC General Assembly and Conference in Montevideo, October 2003.
