Last year, more than 170 events were organized all over the world on 21 March, with countless people following the event through our social networks and sharing their passion for early music. Dear REMA friends,
We wish you a happy new year, full of joy and challenging projects!
After the winter break, the REMA team is back at the office and already in full swing in organizing this years’ events! Needless to say that we have a big year coming up: REMA is celebrating its 20th birthday!
The cornerstone of this year will be the Early Music Summit in BOZAR, Brussels (20-22 November): this is the first time REMA is organizing an event of that scale! Under the title « Our Future Past: Early Music in Context », the conference will assess and take a critical look at the current state and future of Early Music in respect of performance, education, research, instrument-making, musicology, and concert promotion... Registration will open soon, so stay tuned!

International Award UCLG - Mexico City - Culture 21
As in previous editions, the Award will recognise good practices from cities and local and regional governments in the field of culture and sustainable development, as well as individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the recognition of how cultural aspects are important for sustainable development. The International Award is an initiative of the City of Mexico and the global organisation of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG). The Award is worth EUR 50,000 in the 'City / Local or Regional Government' category, and EUR 25,000 in the 'Individual' category. Rules and relevant application forms are available at http://www.agenda21culture.net/award. Participation is free of charge and the deadline for submissions is 18 March 2020.

Avant Première 2020 invites filmmakers to pitch their projects to renowned international experts in its second cooperation with Sunny Side of the Doc, the global market place for documentary + factual content. The call welcomes performing arts documentaries in development or production including native web creations + cross-platform storytelling. The call for submissions is open until 12 December 2019!

Cooperation with European Film Market
Avant Première continues to expand its cooperation with the EFM - European Film Market, the business section of Berlin International Film Festival and offers special formats, deals and screenings for attendants.
