FIM Latin America Regional Workshop
The Declaration on Gender Equity in Musicians’ Unions, drafted by women union leaders on 1st November 2018 in Montevideo, was unanimously adopted by Latin American union leaders in Bogota.
2019 MTNA National Conference
The 2019 MTNA National Conference is in the works! Plan now to attend the conference March 16–20. Renowned pianist Ingrid Fliter and the award-winning Transcontinental Saxophone Quartet will highlight the evening recitals. Alan Walker, preeminent Liszt and Chopin scholar, will present the keynote address based on his newest book, Fryderyk Chopin: A Life and Times. Pedagogy Saturday boasts five tracks: Entrepreneurism, Musician Wellness, Recreational Music Making, Teaching Artistry, and Teaching those with Special Needs. And, all the annual favorites like the Exhibit Hall, showcases and the MTNA National Student Competitions will be back!

The sweet Christmas period is approaching: time for celebration, winter events and festivals. So many things happened in 2018 for REMA: its 18th birthday in Versailles, its first conference in Malta, its team that got bigger... We know that 2019 is going to be as extraordinary: full of projects, festivals and music! We are looking forward to seeing what the future will bring us.

Now the REMA team is in full swing for the preparations of the REMA Early Music Awards 2018 ceremony that will take place in London on 30 November.

Dear EMCY readers,
The EMCY network is moving on and stays ever young. 28 youth music competitions and partners from 18 countries attended the INTER-NATIONAL net_works+ Conference and 31st EMCY General Assembly in Luxembourg from 29th June to 1st July 2018. This event was an initiative under the patronage of Mr Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission. It is great to see that new managers join the competitions, our network can profit from our experience but also from new ideas and views.
