Live DMA: Introducing LIVEMX! New funding opportunities for the live music sector

LIVEMX, co-funded by the European Union, aims to nurture a more diverse and sustainable music sector in Europe. A central part of the project is a leading-edge funding scheme designed to address very specific needs within the European music ecosystem. Over the project´s timeframe, three calls for proposals will encourage music professionals to take a leading role to respond to immediate challenges of the sector.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I am delighted to present to you the AEC Newsletter for May 2023.
It has been a busy time for the association, with advocacy taking a prominent place in our most recent work. Alongside ELIA, Culture Action Europe and the EMC, AEC issued a Joint Response to the Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action Calls 2023. The Call's text reinterpreted the STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) concept almost exclusively as a means to bridge the gender gap within the STEM fields. The group considered that this framing undermined the original raison d’être of STEAM — its inherent potential to promote creativity and innovation - and made the case in the strongest terms.
