Press Release: Culture at Work Africa
Culture at Work Africa, co-funded by the European Union, has launched its First Call for Proposals on 25 June 2018 to support innovative on-the-ground projects aiming at developing safe and neutral spaces for intercultural dialogue and to promote active citizenship and intercommunity relations.
25 June 2018 – This First Call for Proposals is open to organizations legally registered in one of the following African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Applications may be submitted in one of these two lots:
· Lot 1: Projects aimed at enhancing public or private cultural spaces as “safe places” for intercultural dialogue by stakeholders active in the public sphere (e.g. organisations active in the social, educational or environmental fields, youth and cultural centres, schools, universities, libraries, local authorities, etc.).
· Lot 2: Projects aimed at strengthening institutional and professional capacities in intercultural mediation of cultural organisations and operators for social cohesion.
The indicative amount available for the 2 lots is 1,000,000.00 EURO. Any grant awarded under this call will fall between a minimum of 20,000.00 EURO and a maximum of 60,000.00 EURO. During the implementation of the selected projects, Culture at Work Africa will carry out a wide range of activities to support the grant beneficiaries, develop their professional skills and networking capacities.

PREMIER APPEL À PROPOSITIONS POUR PROMOUVOIR LE DIALOGUE INTERCULTUREL POUR LA COHESION SOCIALE EN AFRIQUE URBAINE
Culture at Work Africa, cofinancé par l’Union Européenne, a lancé son premier Appel à Propositions le 25 Juin 2018, pour soutenir des projets novateurs visant à développer des espaces sûrs et neutres pour le dialogue interculturel et à promouvoir la citoyenneté active et les relations intercommunautaires.
25 Juin 2018 – Le Premier Appel à Propositions est ouvert aux organisations qui sont juridiquement enregistrée dans un des pays Africains suivants : Bénin, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Côte d'Ivoire, République démocratique du Congo, Kenya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sénégal, Tanzanie, Togo, Ouganda et Zimbabwe.
Les applications doivent être soumises dans l’un des deux lots suivants:
• Lot 1 : projets qui visent à renforcer les espaces culturels publiques et privés en tant qu’endroits « sûrs » pour le dialogue interculturel, mis en place par des parties prenantes actives dans l’espace public (ex. organisations actives dans les domaines social, éducatif or environnemental, centres de jeunes, centres culturels, écoles, universités, librairies, autorités locales, etc.).
• Lot 2 : projets qui visent à renforcer les capacités institutionnelles et professionnelles en médiation interculturelle des organisations culturelles et des opérateurs pour la cohésion sociale.
Le montant indicatif disponible pour les 2 lots est 1,000,000.00 Euros. Pour toute subvention demandée dans le cadre de cet appel à propositions, le montant doit être compris entre un minimum de 20,000.00 Euros et un maximum de 60,000.00 Euros.
Pendant la mise en œuvre des projets sélectionnés, Culture at Work Africa organisera une vaste gamme d'activités pour supporter les bénéficiaires de subventions et pour développer leurs compétences professionnelles et de réseau.
