jazzday.pngThe celebration of the International Jazz Day is an important step to promote the values of jazz as an important historical art form which has contributed to promote intercultural dialogue, eradicate discrimination, promote respect for human rights and dignity, foster gender equality and reinforce the role of youth for social change. Proclaimed by UNESCO at its 36th General Conference in November 2011, the celebrations will take place worldwide on 30th April. UNESCO has dedicated the 27th April to a special daylong event with open master classes by famous international jazz musicians, scat improvisational classes for young students, musical performances, conferences, debates, and a big evening concert at its headquarters in Paris. On this occasion the IMC as an official partner of the event and its Jazz network will be attending with a stand and 5 delegates. Please find more information on this event here
