American Eagle Awards

The American Eagle Award is presented each year to individuals who have made significant contributions to the support and development of music in this country. This year we are pleased to be honoring jazz legends Chick Corea and The Manhattan Transfer.
One of the important goals of the American Eagle Awards is to call attention to the five musical rights that the NMC developed in collaboration with the International Music Council, which include the support of music education in the public schools of our country, as well as the importance of protecting the rights of music creators. The funds raised at the event are used to support the Council's advocacy efforts throughout the year.
